I know it's been a while, 3 months to be exact of people coming into the blog, expecting an update or just looking for kek tapak kuda in which i was the top 10 result (Y) BUT
I'M BACK!
So i don't think i'll trace back to 3 month's work of stories and pictures, so i'll post up some of the more 'recent' ones.
Right now it's 7.43 a.m on a quiet sunday morning, i'm still in my jammies lookin for stuff to do. Did i tell you that i just bought one 24-pack of coke, a 40-pack dorito box, a 30-pack of Kinder Bueno and two large bags of chip as my supplies? Got it from the warehouse, never cease to be amusing one way or another when going there. Millie, the "House Dog" came along as well, and it's good i don't have a fear of dogs, just a cautious mind to avoid any contact.
hold on.
oh yeah, serikandi.
While i was in brunei, fazleen decided to have like a lil' smss reunion + some extra people at serikandi. It was during the last few days i was in brunei, and it was defo good time. Now there's more of the smss group that's going to the UK, namely azie and asher who will be in liverpool (?) and UCL respectively. best of wished to you guys :]

Back in the UK, i had my raya celebrations on a sunday, a full day earlier than brunei's. It was a good affair, food and people are always a good option.
Before the raya thing, i had to go to a few more places. Namely Leicester. To be more exact, Leicester University.
Me and faz had a go at Leicester University's Open day on the saturday, which involved me getting into london at midnight on fruday night, sahur at 2pm at bhall and then had to literally catch the 8.30 train to leicester from London St. Pancras. Overall, the uni's not bad, the accommodation is a bit far, but if you don't mind a bit of exercise, then it's all good. The uni's relatively small compared to most unis, but that's necassarily a bad thing. The library is (Y), love the colour scheme and facilities, defo a big + for me.
dean close on friday afternoon
otw to london, tired and drowsy at this time.
after the leicester open day, we came back to london and met up with the rest for sungkai at JomMakan which is a malaysian restaurant near Trafalgar Square. We were supposed to have a private room which farhan managed to book, but the restaurant booked it for another day, which was a big problem so we ended up getting a normal table + a few more tables joined up, which didn't go without loud noises. Food was good, and we had a good time and that was the important bit.

After that, we went around at the arcade at trochadero, and it was an awesome time.
grabbed the last two pics from opah. :D

so that night/morning we ended up sleeping at 2+ a.m and me being suprisingly alert that morning, didn't become the last one to wake up and leaving my alarm going on for an hour and waking everyone else but me. No, not this time.
We went to the Hari Raya Prayers in Bhall that morning, all done up with baju melayu and stuff. This is contrast to last year, where i celebrated in cheltenham which is with a smaller crowd, but nevertheless still joyous.

so next stop was the Brunei Hi-comm raya openhouse. It was all the way in Belgrade Square, and it's a totally unfamiliar area to me, but in the end we managed to get there. Food was top-notch, and everyone basically had a good time there.

before the bus

on the bus.

after the bus
at the hi-comm.
That afternoon, i caught my train back to cheltenham, on a sunday night train and all in all it was a good weekend. I'll stop with keith's attempt at a self-potrait using a tele lens.
Dean Close
Moving into a new school is always a daunting task, especially with such high expectations riding on your shoulder. Not only that it's thousands of miles away from your comfy bed, it's also a totally new environment. How did we cope?
Midnight
A familiar sight to a few of us, the costa cafe has been a place for us to just be open and let it all out. It's a time to just relax and talk, in the middle of the night. That's how we spent our time in london. That's not the only thing we did while in london
Pressure's On
The life of a foreign student in a british school can be different to some in a lot of aspects, but one thing remains the same : competitions. Any sort of competition, may it be in studies or quiz. These guys are certainly in one.
Birthday
A regular at radioplaydisco, she turned 18, and is now officially older than me numerically. Greetings couldn't stop pouring from thousands of miles away. Question is, what does she want for her birthday?
The morning before.
The day of the photoshoot. The chaos that ensued. the close-call to major calamity. All that later, here it's all about the photoshoot that morning, with the sun shining and the people smiling, it was deceiving.

The improv (UPDATED!)
It's been a while, and i have a very good explanation as to why *sorta*. First of all, i cant find the time to sit down, have a drink and blog relaxly as i usually do which has been a while ago since i had such a blogging atmosphere. Second thing is that i'm lazy and uploading the large amounts of pics that has been the trend in my blog posts. I'll make it up to you readers (here's where you supposedly say 'aww' but i doubt it) by having several big news:
Deng deng deng!
This is the first post using my ipod touch ( UPDATE : IMAGE THUMBNAILS FIXED!)
This is the first post done while being in a boutique
This is the first post with both brunei and uk content
This is the first post on nazirulsyarqawi.com
This is the first post with c opah caught pouting ngan chocolate( biggest news of all!)
Now, the post *finally*
The last days of the school year at Dean Close School as a L6 student, lots of packing need to be done ( we're talking 3 days of packing and sleeping in the tv room) but it ended happily with my room ending up as clean as if it was still new. Can't say for a lot of the other rooms ahah
We had a byebye party for lawrence at tgi friday nearby with the other people at gate and a few more

stephen, me, michelle. we are the world~
the new dynamic duo. sorry adam ahah

who says you can have a self-potrait with a dslr? heck i could probably do a group photo with the fishy.2 minutes later,
an impromptu shoot by shelburne road.back at the house, business as usual

Then came the time to go to london. This is also the first time i'm extremely glad i had a first class traib ticket as the 'direct' train that i took had to switch at Swindon due to unforeseen circumstances, and since the first class had little people in it, i had an easy time finding a new seat and also a second round of complimentary food yayy
Reaching london, i had less than 18 hours before i would take off, so i made full use of it like totallyyy

Then came the time to head back to brunei. i wish it wasn't 17 hours of containment inside a metal can flying 35,000 feet at subsonic speed. The stop in dubai gave us a break to just walk around and get some McD.
Finally on sunday, i'm officially back in brunei. What was the first thing i did? go to ICC. at 9+ in the morning. Fair starts at 10. Iski much? not my idea but it turned out good.

At the end of the day, i'm back in my home to my humble little bed.

oh and here's some really overdued pics from the Malvern Hills hike. thanks keith for taking the pics, edited the bunch below. If i had to carry my camera up the hills.... X_X
found this plot of land in the middle of nowhere with trees all lined up in rows and columns. Someone with OCD perhaps?
